"In times of trouble, help is always worth more, so we want to increase operational subsidies," stated János Lázár when asked by Székelyhon.
Yesterday, Hungary's Minister of Construction and Investment discussed the development of the region, the city and the Sapientia Transylvanian Hungarian University (EMTE) in Sepsiszentgyörgy with the mayor of Sepsiszentgyörgy, Árpád Antal, Sándor Tamás, chairman of the Kovászna County Council, and Béla Kató, bishop of the Transylvanian Reformed Church District.
"We reviewed our common affairs and plan for the future. In the Hungarian national policy, we want to give more emphasis to economic cooperation, and I am sure that in the coming years and decades we will continue the nation-building process that we started in the last 12 years", concluded Árpád Antal at the press conference held in the main square of Sepsiszentgyörgy.
János Lázár evaluated his meetings in Bucharest a day earlier, as he said, he had the impression that there are still plenty of reserves in the economic cooperation between Romania and Hungary, in infrastructure development, and their exploitation is greatly facilitated by the fact that an important party in the current Romanian government coalition is the RMDSZ.
Since the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, serious changes have been taking place in the region, so understanding each other's points of view is extremely important, said János Lázár, emphasizing that he went to Bucharest to explore the possibilities that can be realized in the field of economic development along the border. Hungary pursues a serious policy of industrialization, Debrecen and Nyíregyháza will become the important industrial centers of Central Europe, Hungarians and Romanians living in the Partium are counted on as a workforce, which in turn raises demographic, sociological and economic questions on both sides. Investments started will be completed.
"Despite the economic challenges in Hungary, we are firmly committed to continuing the programs that have been launched and fulfilling the promised developments," said János Lázár.
