The Hungarian Festival Association and the PajtaKult team are organizing a two-day conference titled "Dimensions of Cultural Media" at the House of Hungarian Music on Thursday and Friday.
Adapted to the venue of the event, this time topics such as current issues of the music and festival market, and the network of Cultural Barns and Fairy Gardens in the Carpathian Basin will be in focus, the organizers announced on Monday.
As they added, the program of the conference covers a number of other current topics, from cultural diplomacy to community building, from application opportunities to resource creation, in the form of professional discussions in addition to the lectures.
Professionals who organize festivals and operate community spaces, as well as non-professionals, are waiting for the complex program from the entire Carpathian basin. Participants can get to know the special features of the Hungarian Music House, such as the Hangdóm or the interactive exhibition Hangdimensions.
The conference will be opened by the music historian András Batta, the executive director of the Hungarian Music House, and then the dreamers, artists and renowned cultural specialists of the Carpathian Basin Cultural Barns and Fairy Gardens network will present the complex project in several panels from various perspectives.
Within the framework of the conference, there is an opportunity to present the available application resources, as well as to consult with NKA staff and an expert who writes applications. The program pays special attention to the current issues of the festival market - from the organizers, sponsors and artists alike - to the opportunities and challenges of cultural diplomacy, but it will also discuss the architectural concepts of cultural spaces.
On Friday, within the framework of the Hungarian Festival Association's festival certification program, the certificates of the certified festivals in 2022 will be handed over, as well as the parallel workshop programs of the association's departments. On that day, the media and communication channels will also be in focus, as well as the challenges of the small town cultural market.
The organizers also try to make room for special events such as the workshop entitled Együtt/Működünk - a card game for the development of value-based collaborations, where participants can learn new techniques to develop their own teams.
Renowned specialists and well-known artists will perform at the event, such as actor József Szarvas, musician András Lovasi, musician László Gőz, owner of the Budapest Music Center, Anita Hegyi, head of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, Liber Endre, the Halmos Béla Program the head of his college, cultural anthropologist Cecília Sándor, the professional leader of the Kultúrpajta and Tündérkert network, László Horváth, the cultural director of Pajtakult, Kata Borsa, the president of the Festival Association, and media expert Dániel Mezei, the host of the event - emphasized the organizers.
