"One of the members of the criminal organization applied for training, but he could not start it, because it turned out that he was actually a human smuggler, and he did not come to protect the border, but to tell the human smuggler's accomplices where he was on duty, so that they could come through people smugglers with illegal migrants," said Rétvári, according to the minutes.
According to the deputy minister's report, the attempts were successfully filtered out by the investigation of the National Defense Service. That is why screening for crime prevention is important. Rétvári said that "part of the pre-screening of the applicants is a physical and psychological assessment, but also the investigation of the National Defense Service (...) has repeatedly proven that this was necessary".
