Most of the examined cities are characterized by a stagnant trend, an increase is visible in Eger and Nyíregyháza, while a decrease can be observed in the common sample of agglomeration settlements around Budapest (Tököl, Biatorbágy, Szigetszentmiklós, Budakeszi, Százhalombatta), as well as Pécs, Szekszárd, Szolnok, Szombathely and Veszprém. The concentration of SARS-CoV-2 genetic material is in the moderate range in three settlements, while in 19 sampling locations it is in the elevated range.

The number of vaccinated people is 6,420,202, of which 6,206,565 people received the second, 3,902,085 people the third, and 393,151 people received the fourth vaccination. In the past week, a total of 4,259 new infected people were confirmed, thus increasing the number of identified infected people to a total of 2,166,352 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 42 people who died in the past week were old, chronic patients, so the number of people who died rose to 48,287. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 2,104,358 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 13,707 people. Currently, 336 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 7 of them are on ventilators.
In Hungary, the epidemic is currently moderate, which is also due to the high level of vaccination. The virus continues to pose the greatest threat to the unvaccinated, which is why they are still being asked to get vaccinated. The booster vaccination is recommended for everyone who received the previous vaccination more than 4 months ago. The government continues to ensure the possibility of vaccination. Vaccination can still be requested from the family doctor or family pediatrician, as well as picked up at hospital vaccination points, where you can go on Fridays with or without an appointment.
The booster vaccination with the new type of Pfizer vaccine against Omicron can also be taken. The vaccine has received an EU license for single-dose and booster vaccination only. The confirmatory vaccination can also be taken on Friday vaccination days without an appointment.
