Maybe everyone is wrong. In what the members of the German soccer team were protesting when they stood in front of the cameras with their hands over their mouths. Maybe it was not the lack of democracy in Qatar, but the end of German freedom of speech that made them gag?
Of course, I'm not an undefeated two-year-old, I know exactly why the Germans did what they did. It cannot be forgotten that for a long time goalkeeper Neuer protected himself in a rainbow armband, that before the 2021 match against us, an aberrant figure ran with a rainbow flag during the Hungarian national anthem in front of our national team's line-up, and this had no consequences in the world.
But it's not just LGBTQ propaganda. Also about violent interference in the customs of other countries, or disregarding their laws. Of course, only to a certain extent, because the fans did not have enough courage to openly defy FIFA's ban and the rules of the host country. The armbands with hearts and the shoe laces with rainbows remained - and the big embarrassment, elimination from the group stage. God does not beat with a stick…
There is no doubt that Qatar does not qualify as a democracy in the classical sense - but does Germany? Or the larger unit, the European Union? Hardly.
How democratic is the German foreign minister, who openly states that he is not interested in the will of the electorate, does what the majority wants, he will still do what his leader wants. Is it democratic that those who refuse to fall in line and promote the lies created by mocking science are losing their jobs in Europe today? How democratic is it to arrest and drag out a Bible quote posted by a religious person? How much democracy is there in those court rulings that send a teacher to prison because he refuses to treat a boy student as a girl and call him a girl?
The European Parliament and the European Commission demonstrate daily how deeply democratic they are. After all, it is the Csimborasso of democracy if the lying report of a vile Bolshevik named Sargentini is accepted in such a way that those who abstained from voting are not counted among those who are present. Hey. boys and girls, staying means (also) that someone is staying there, that someone is present, only that they cannot decide on the question asked. But that's okay, there's the European Court, which, like a barking dog, violates the law and declares that what is clearly illegal...
We know this kind of democracy, we had the misfortune to practice it for several decades. It was called a one-party system, where we could legally choose - from one. In addition, the dictatorship called socialist democracy did not even deny that it was oppressive. He openly stated: we are a proletarian dictatorship, not a classic democracy. However, there are not two types of democracy, where one is classic and the other not so much. Because it is actually called a dictatorship.
A specter roams Europe, the specter of dictatorship. The dictatorship of opinion, the liberal dictatorship, the dictatorship of money power, the dictatorship of deviance. And the dictatorship of vile, idiotic political leaders (the list is long, so just a few examples: Angela Merkel, Ursula von der Leyen, Guy Verhofstadt, Frans Timmermans) who interfere in the internal affairs of independent countries without batting an eye. Not with the methods of the "great predecessors", Adolf Hitler or Joseph Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili - alias Stalin. Not yet. They lie about a democracy deficit when it comes to "recalcitrant" countries (that is, states that protect their independence both economically and intellectually), but somehow they don't want to see the death of democracy when it comes to the affairs of their country.
How long can this go on? Two cases can be imagined. Either the pendulum swings back and everything swings back to its opposite (just don't swing back too much, because that can also lead to big trouble), or everyone manages to be forced into the ranks of the mentally ill.
And if they have already achieved this, they can give the order: hands over mouth, shut up! Be careful! Left face! Towards the abyss, step in-go!
