Just two days ago, the representative group of Hungarian Unity was formed in Vojvodina, and the newly formed Vojvodina Hungarian National Council (MNT) will hold its inaugural meeting in about a week, on Friday, December 16.
As the Vojdaság ma article reveals, the representative group also decided on who will be the next head of the national minority self-government organization. According to them, Árpád Fremond will become the president of the MNT, while Zsófia Pál Rigó will be his deputy.
The body knows that they intend to elect Zsolt Námestovskzki as the head of the education committee, Lívia Kozma as the information chairman, Ildiko Lovas as the head of the cultural affairs committee, and Adrián Lakatos as the head of the language use committee.
The future MNT president, Árpád Fremond, resigned from all his functions in the Vojvodina Hungarian Association (VMSZ), so Annamária Vicsek will become the vice-president of the VMSZ. Árpád Fremond also resigned from his seat in the House of Representatives, and he will be replaced by Ákos Újhelyi.
