The Szent Mihály Children's Home in Rát, Transcarpathia, is supported by the Young Families Club (Ficsak) with more than three million forints collected at this year's Advent fundraiser.

Nóra Király, the founder of Ficsak (pictured), said at her press conference in Budapest on Tuesday that the amount will be used to fulfill the Christmas wishes of the children living in the home, they will receive dinner on Christmas Eve and provide them with a playhouse, as well as support the insulation of the building. Nóra Király noted that they did not think that in these difficult times, even in such a difficult economic situation, people's desire to donate would not decrease, and such a large amount could be collected.

Almost thirty NGOs joined the charity fundraiser organized for the seventh time this year, among others the Single Parent Center, the Three Kings, Three Kings Foundation, the Mária Kopp Institute for Population and Families (KINCS), the Association of Family Organizations of the Carpathian Basin (KCSSZ) and National Association of Large Families (NOE). Anita Herczegh and her daughter, as well as Ágnes Hornung, the State Secretary responsible for families at the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, made wreaths and table decorations for the charity fair, and Ringató offered the proceeds of a concert. The main patron of the event was the President of the Republic, Katalin Novák, who hosted the residents of the children's home visiting Budapest in the Sándor Palace.
