The President of the Republic, Katalin Novák, will travel to Vatican City on Thursday morning to pay her respects to the XVI. At the funeral mass of the retired Pope Benedict, the Communication Directorate of the Sándor Palace informed MTI.
The pope emeritus, who died at the age of 95, will be laid to rest in the crypt of St. Peter's Basilica, before which there will be a funeral mass.
Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén is also a member of the Hungarian delegation, the Sándor Palace announced.
