The Swedish men's handball team had to take a bus from the hotel to the stadium in Gothenburg, only three hundred meters away, for an amazing reason. According to the team's coach, Glenn Solberg, the TV companies broadcasting the World Cup wanted this because they wanted to film the Swedish players getting off the bus.

The Swedish team stayed at the Opalen Hotel in the center of Gothenburg, which is only three hundred meters from the sports hall called Scandinavium, where the handball world championship matches are played.
But the players were banned from walking over to the sports facility just five minutes away. The handball players from the Nordic countries had to take a bus instead, it was revealed on the website of aftonbladet.se .

I would rather not comment on the matter - said European champion Swedish handball player Jim Gottfridsson with a smile. It's because of the TV, as they need pictures when we get off the bus, said the national team captain, Glenn Solberg.

During last year's EC in Bratislava, the accommodation of the Swedish players was even in the same building as the venue of the match, and even then the Swedish handball players had to get on the bus in order to take pictures because of the TV.
