Political scientist Tamás Fricz's opinion article for civilek.info:
My readers may remember that I myself wrote about Novak Djokovic, the excellent Serbian tennis player, and I greatly criticized the phenomenon that when he appeared in any tournament in the Western world, the majority of the audience cheered against him almost from the hip, especially in Paris and In London, but also in large Asian cities.
I also wrote that the reason for this can be nothing other than the deep, visceral antipathy towards athletes from Eastern and Central Europe or the Balkans, which characterizes the Western world. Djokovic really almost begged for the audience's sympathy and love, but it didn't matter. Here, the hero can only be Federer or Nadal, or perhaps the poor oppressed Williams brothers, or anyone who is Western, but not a miserable young man from the poorhouse in the Balkans. (At that time, Mónika Szeles also complained about this phenomenon.)
After that, the publicism of a Romanian journalist, Adrián Onciu on the Romanian portal opozitian.net. He wrote the following in his article For the Davos Globalists, the truth can only be a hallucination:
" Viktor Orbán remains Europe's last Mohican, the only politician who is able to voice his opinion openly, and is not afraid of being lynched by mobs who admire the globalist left."
And here comes the surprising sentence: "if you like, he is Novak Djokovic in politics." Without more leaders like Orbán, conservative Europe has little chance."
Well, that's a brave analogy!
But Onciu doesn't really explain what he means when he compares Viktor Orbán to Djokovic. I will do it for him, because I think I understand him and agree with him.
First of all: Both Djokovic and Orbán come from the "East", but they are both so "cheeky" that they do not accept the well-known cast, according to which the big Western countries have a decisive voice, while the Eastern blocs are silent.
Both consider it completely natural that they are no worse, no more underdeveloped than their Western rivals. And with the knowledge and confidence of this, they appear on the international stage, and Orbán at the negotiation tables, and Djokovic on the tennis court, in front of thousands of spectators, prove that it is not only that they are at least as good as their Western opponents, but in many respects they are more talented and inventive than them, and it is better to learn from them, and not from the Western "stars" adored and adored by the organizers, the media, the public and public opinion.
In other words, they consider equality and a democratic attitude to be natural, they do not consider themselves inferior to anyone, but they do not expect privileges from anyone, nor do they show superiority or arrogance. On the other hand, both are excellent diplomats. Djokovic speaks several languages, after winning tournaments, he speaks maturely and with infinite attention about the specific place where he won the tournament, the audience, the conditions, he is attentive to the organizers and the staff serving the tournament, that is, he gives everyone the necessary attention and excellent transparency and has the ability to find information. Well, the same can be said about Viktor Orbán, perhaps I don't even need to go into detail about his diplomatic skills, the effectiveness of his actions in the Union and international organizations, his organizing and clear explanations whether in a speech, a negotiation or a press conference.
And last but not least: Djokovic was able to resist the mandatory vaccination, he acted according to his conviction that strong doubts may arise regarding the Mrns vaccines, since he did not go through all the phases related to the vaccines, so their mechanism of action is actually not clear. Australian authorities banned him from the country there and then. And behold a miracle: this year you can participate in the Australian Open tennis championship - without vaccination. It is true, meanwhile, one of the directors of Pfizer has already stated in the European Parliament that vaccines really do not protect against infection and its transmission...
And this courage is also true in the case of Viktor Orbán. He did not give in to the requirement of mandatory vaccination - but unfortunately this fight still needs to be continued. Just as the abolition of cash, a stupid, suicidal sanctions policy, LGBTQI ideology and climate idiocy must also be opposed.
Even if the members of the Davos elite think otherwise, Klaus Schwab and Bill Gates at the helm, right now in Davos...
