The manager of the dollar left, Dávid Korányi and Mayor Gergely Karácsony, attended a conference in Munich with Alex Soros, the son of the billionaire speculator György Soros, a few days before Action for Democracy's first transfer to Hungary. Anyone can watch Karácsony's ridiculous performance on a video of a panel discussion. By the way, Péter Márki-Zay, the former prime ministerial candidate of the left, also showed up in the German city after the event. According to his claim, he did not meet anyone who participated in the conference.
Most of the foreign money for the Hungarian , with the help of former prime minister Gordon Bajnai, the former communications director of the MSZP recently stated. György Kerényi stated: "Nobody is still revealing the real source of the money arranged by Gordon Bajnai (although his name did not come up in discussions about the support, but everyone treats it as a fact that it mostly came from György Soros, who has good relations with Bajnai), in the competition between the parties used support went to an NGO."
As is already well known, approximately four billion forints came to the Hungarian opposition through a foundation registered in Switzerland and the American organization Action for Democracy (AD) led by Dávid Korányi.
It is also a fact that a few days before the transfers began, the son of György Soros, Alexander Soros, Dávid Korányi and Mayor Gergely Karácsony appeared at the same place, at a security policy conference in Munich. At this point, it is worth noting that Korányi also acted as Karácsony's chief advisor at that time. Karácsony also participated in one of the panel discussions of the conference held between February 18 and 20, 2022, together with the mayors of Warsaw and Istanbul, although he alone did not know English, so he read his pre-written text in Hungarian, and Korányi translated it for the other participants for. By the way, Karácsony shared such insightful thoughts with those present as "I'm the one in line, I don't know if you can translate this pun".
Alexander Soros, who took part in the two-day conference, was slightly out of line, since practically everyone else held an important elected position. The son of billionaire businessman György Soros was present as a member of the advisory team and vice president of the Open Society Foundations, but according to the photos taken from the event, quite a few people sought his company.
Although Alexander Soros did not take a public photo with Gergelly Karácsony and Korányi, it is hard to imagine that they would have avoided each other during Korányi's three-day stay in Munich.
It is just icing on the cake that around this time, on February 23, Péter Márki-Zay, the prime ministerial candidate of the left, also traveled to Munich, although he claims that he did not meet Dávid Korányi, who, according to him, was not even in the German city at that time. In any case, a few hours later, on February 24, the dollars already rolled into the account of the Márki-Zay-branded Everyone's Hungary Movement, and the "sender" was none other than Korányi's Action for Democracy.
Recordings prove that several leading figures of Action for Democracy appeared at last year's security policy conference in Munich, and all those involved are closely connected to György Soros and his son. At the event, Korányi held a panel lecture not included in the official program with another AD founder, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski. Next to them was, for example, former American general Wesley K. Clark. The former soldier also negotiated with Péter Márki-Zay in the campaign for last year's election. According to the recordings and data of the Munich conference, David Miliband, Nathalie Tocci and Anne Applebaum also participated in the event, and they can also be associated with Action for Democracy.
It is a significant fact that György Soros' son can definitely be linked to AD, as he even shared an advertisement of the organization behind the dollar left scandal on his Twitter page. As is well known, this call was also projected in New York's Times Square, and Alexander Soros himself posted the campaign's motto on Twitter: "Help the Hungarians choose". In addition, Kati Marton, one of the organizers of the fundraiser, maintains a close relationship with György Soros and his son, as evidenced by a photo from March 2018.
Our country's sovereignty may have been damaged due to American influence, so the national security services launched an investigation into what happened. The resulting report stated that the foundation was "created with an already established financial background and with a goal in mind." According to the report of the National Information Center, "it has been confirmed that companies in contact with financial resources from abroad are listed as authorized parties in the campaign reports of some opposition parties." The State Audit Office and the National Tax and Customs Office are also investigating what happened.
Magyar Nemzet asked Gergely Karácsony and Péter Márki-Zay questions about whether they met and discussed with György Soros' son, Alexander Soros, at last year's conference in Munich. The left's former Prime Minister candidate told the newspaper that he did not meet the participants of the conference, including Dávid Korányi, in Munich. He emphasized that this is also true with regard to Alexander Soros, but he did not interact with him anywhere else. MN also tried to reach Dávid Korányi, but was unsuccessful.
