It was held in the hall of Selye János High School

The opening ceremony began with a one-minute silence, commemorating two outstanding public figures of the Hungarians in the highlands, Miklós Duray and Péter Majer.

"The loss of their personality is irreplaceable for all of us," said Irén Fekete, president of the SZMPSZ.

In his greeting, referring to the neighboring war and the economic crisis afflicting Europe, he noted that we now need hope and serenity, as we cannot stand in front of our students with our heads down, dejected - he opined, pointing out,

no matter what happens in the world, children must be provided with a safe, friendly and understanding environment in schools.

To ensure this, in his opinion, an inevitable condition is the training of teachers. "With the help of the Regional Election of the SZMPSZ Komáromi, we strive for this within the framework of the Pedagogical Days - with the many tools of skill development, innovation, local knowledge, talent development, movement development, experiential pedagogy," he pointed out. Our own set of tools is important, he said, but he also drew attention to the fact that the world moves forward in seven-mile steps, and we must keep pace with it. "We have to keep our eyes open, we have to acquire new knowledge," he pointed out. He emphasized the effectiveness of the work of the professional workshops operating alongside the SZMPSZ, which compiled a number of supporting materials. "I value and respect their work for the community," said the president of the organization, who also thanked the co-organizers for their help and helpful attitude. Finally, he spoke about the need to do everything to ensure that basic human values do not fall to the margins of the school, and classical knowledge is lost.
