The political scientist believes that it is necessary to stay in the European Union, but its functioning must be radically changed.
A year and a half ago, I wrote that it is possible to think about the Huxit, today I think that we must stay in the European Union with all our strength, because membership gives us position, importance, and international authority, since we are part of an alliance - Tamás Fricz said on Hit Radio. However, the political scientist stated that he also created another concept, and that is EUXIT. This means that we should not leave, but the EU should undergo a radical reform, the organization should leave this "horror", he said. As a result, with a new basic agreement, the operation could be radically changed in such a way that it is based on strong nation-states.
The research consultant of the Center for Fundamental Rights said about the Russian-Ukrainian war that a year ago he did not rule out the possibility of a conflict breaking out - because there were signs that something was brewing - but he rather thought it would not happen. And he believed that this is half a proxy war, because Russia is a direct participant, while Ukraine is actually fighting on the other side, but deep down, an American-Russian war is taking place. You could see earlier that the United States was gradually occupying military positions, which meant the expansion of NATO, Tamás Fricz said.
Around 2008, it was also formulated that Ukraine should become a member of the military alliance, even though Vladimir Putin already in 2001 drew the attention of the Western states that such a move would pose a threat to Russia. And in 2022, it already became clear that they want to admit Ukraine to NATO. Moreover, at the Munich security conference held this year
Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he wants to get nuclear weapons. These factors made the situation dangerous.
According to the political scientist, the Western powers provoked Russia, but Putin should not have been above that. With the war, Russia risked destroying its previously relatively well-functioning – primarily economic – relationship with the EU and the entire Western world, and on the other hand, they are being blamed for everything. And it is a fact that the Russians are the aggressors, they attacked a sovereign country. But they misjudged the situation, they thought they would get the Donbas in a quick war. But things are not black and white, in the non-Western world, the perception of Russia is not so negative, and even some Asian, African, and Latin American countries have sided with it in several ways, says Fricz.
The EC stands for what American Democrats and globalists tell it to
By now, the fronts have stiffened, the chances of establishing peace have decreased, because the war has a self-stimulating effect, neither side can stop with great losses. Neither the Biden administration, which played an indirect role in the war, since there will be a presidential election next year, nor Putin, as voters will also go to the polls in Russia, the political scientist claims.
According to Fricz, it is sad to note in connection with the outbreak of war, how strongly America controls the leadership of the European Union. It turned out that the Union has no sovereignty, Brussels does not pursue an independent policy. Most of the member states are also influenced by Washington, he said, but there are exceptions, including Hungary.
The members of the Brussels elite began to be tied to the global or otherwise known as the Davos financial elite by a thousand threads.
Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission (EC), is committed to this group. The EC stands for what American Democrats and globalists tell it to, and is absolutely pro-war.
The World Economic Forum is also interested in the continuation of the war and it is important for them that Ukraine wins the war, but also that Russia weakens and becomes an investment ground for them, Tamás Fricz stated.
