I made the offer to the young people to form an alliance, to join an army that is an army of the brave, said Minister of National Defense Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky in a video posted on Facebook on Sunday.
The minister emphasized that the equipment system of the Hungarian armed forces is also being renewed: new land equipment, new air defense and air force equipment are arriving.
"I asked the Hungarian youth, I invited them to the association, to join a community that gives the joy of belonging, the self-confidence of training, lifelong friends, associated with a very serious and competitive benefit system."
We are waiting for everyone to join the Hungarian army, because we are ready. Are you ready too? said the minister in the video.
He added that this nation has lived here in the Carpathians for a thousand years, and has shown the example of our national virtue, courage, for many hundreds of years.
In the video, Zsolt Nyitrai, the prime minister's chief adviser, talked about the rejuvenation of the Hungarian Armed Forces, they are waiting for fresh strength, which is why they are starting a year-long campaign, mainly recruiting young people.
While the left reduced the army, the current government of Hungary respects the soldiers and builds a modern army. This is particularly important, since we are living in an age of danger, war is raging in our neighborhood, and peace requires strength, added Zsolt Nyitrai.
