First Lady Jill Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken were torn apart by the people of the Internet on Wednesday for honoring an Argentinian biological man with an award for women on the occasion of International Women's Day.

At the International Women of Courage Awards ceremony held at the White House, "11 extraordinary women from all over the world who are working to build a better future for everyone were honored," reads the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Argentinian Alba Rueda was presented at the ceremony as “a transgender woman who was kicked out of classrooms, banned from taking exams, denied employment opportunities, subjected to violence and rejected by her family. But in the face of these challenges, he worked to end violence and discrimination against the LGBTQ community in Argentina."

Of course, all hell broke loose on Twitter, they didn't take kindly to the fact that a person born as a man was honored with an award meant for women. Huckabee Sanders, the Republican governor of Arkansas, reacted like this:

Today is International Women's Day - a good time to remember that Democrats can't even say what a woman is.

“Men seem to be much better at being women than women. Toughen up, ladies!” joked Townhall columnist and radio personality Derek Hunter.

By the way, Alba Rueda is currently Argentina's special representative for sexual orientation and gender identity at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship.

According to the State Department, Rueda "actively campaigned to change the name of the National Conference on Women to the 'Multiracial Conference of Women and Lesbian, Cross-Dresser, Transgender, Bisexual, Intersex, and Non-Binary Persons'" to include diverse, dissenting, and racial identities.
