Wyoming has become the first US state to ban the use of the abortion pill, with Gov. Mark Gordon signing the law passed by the Republican-majority state legislature in early March, The Guardian reported.

The provision makes it illegal to "prescribe, dispense, distribute, sell or use any drug for the purpose of terminating a pregnancy." Exceptions to the ban are post-event, prescription contraceptives. The measure also exempts any treatment that is necessary because the woman's life is in danger during the pregnancy, and "natural abortion according to currently accepted medical guidelines" is also excluded from the scope of regulation.

Violating the ban is a felony and punishable by up to six months in jail and a fine of up to $9,000.

The abortion pill was the primary method of terminating a pregnancy in the United States until the Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, putting abortion regulation back in the hands of the states.

Since then, abortion has been banned in thirteen states, and Georgia has ruled that abortions can be performed until the fetal heartbeat can be detected.

Courts have suspended abortion bans in some states, including Arizona, Indiana, Montana, Ohio, South Carolina, Utah and Wyoming. Idaho judges forced the state to allow medical emergency abortions.

Civilians Info: I say to the progressives, "the fascist-dictator-monnyon le zorbán" Hungarian government has not gone this far, it only obliges mothers to listen to the heartbeat of their fetus! And let them decide! Pretty liberal isn't it? They could have banned abortion as they did in incense-burning America.
