Prime Minister Katalin Szili's chief advisor to the Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) was announced by the president of the smaller ruling party in Budapest on Friday. Zsolt Semjén told the public media in Parliament: Katalin Szili's joining the KDNP is a joy and an honor.
As he said, Katalin Szili's national commitment, her sympathy for the churches, and her service related to them were always known.
He recalled that in the Gyurcsány days, when all-Hungarian cooperation was prevented by canceling the Hungarian Standing Conference, Katalin Szili established the Forum of Hungarian Representatives of the Carpathian Basin as speaker, which saved the Hungarian-Hungarian dialogue.
In addition, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives has performed a great service in the field of national politics in the past period, by developing and customizing concepts of autonomy in relation to individual parts of the nation.
he added.
Katalin Szili said: compared to the "no man's land" of the past 12 years, the community of the Christian Democratic People's Party is the closest to it. By entering, you formally join the community to which you have belonged up until now.
I have found my home, and if I can serve the nation in such a way that I am willing to serve a set of values, then I will gladly do so, said the politician.
He also mentioned that he was happy to accept the Prime Minister's invitation to serve national political affairs. He noted that even during his politicking in the Socialist Party, he was always considered a Christian and a nationalist, and there he always stood out of line.
In the past 12 years, Fidesz-KDNP has made it obvious that it is also socially committed. He mentioned family policy, social policy measures, demographic and national political matters as examples.
Katalin Szili spoke about the fact that the family policy benefits were extended to Hungarians beyond the border. He highlighted the national and Christian commitment of the current government parties, and with his entry, he is also serving the Europe of Christians and nations.
János Hargitai, the president of the Baranya county of KDNP, said that they were happy and unanimously supported the hiring of Katalin Szili.
