The police will seize all resources in order to detect, identify and bring everyone to court, Budapest police chief Tamás Terdik told Magyar Nemzet regarding the manhunt for the participants of the Budapest manhunt in February. Meanwhile, the leader of the Hammerband, Lina Engel, faces eight years in prison for preparing for street fights in Germany.
The cooperation of the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) with German partners in the investigation of the perpetrators of the far-left manhunt in Budapest at the beginning of February is ongoing and effective. Major General Tamás Terdik, Budapest police chief, told the Magyar Nemzet that he expected this could lead to all the perpetrators being identified and brought to justice.
- So far, there are four people questioned as suspects in the case, and we are looking for six more. I trust that we can identify as many members of this organized group of about twenty people as possible and later capture them. It is important to emphasize that the BRFK will do everything it can to track down, identify and bring the perpetrators to justice against all groups that commit crimes, regardless of gender or ideology, said Chief Captain Tamás Terdik.
