The association announced that school enrollments are taking place all over the Carpathian Basin, and parents choose schools for children who become compulsory school age during this period.

As written, the school choice of Hungarian families abroad is not only about the school and the teacher, but also about the child's identity, the survival of Hungarian culture and Hungarian communities.

It was announced: the association, together with its supporters, delivered about ten thousand school bags to hundreds of Hungarian schools abroad, so that the teachers could greet the children and thank the parents for their responsible decision, for believing in the transmission and preservation of the Hungarian language and culture.

Hungarian schools abroad are the key to the survival of Hungarian communities

Those who choose a Hungarian school abroad for their child are putting their faith in being Hungarian and this is the key to the survival of Hungarian communities abroad - emphasized the president of the Rákóczi Association on Tuesday on the current channel M1. As he pointed out, choosing a Hungarian school abroad is a decisive, lifelong decision. In these institutions, in addition to learning the language and culture of the majority society, the students start learning practically all subjects in Hungarian, he said.

Csongor Csáky also reported that many positive examples show that not only "Hungarians of color", but also more and more families of mixed nationalities choose the Hungarian school, and "quite a few" parents belonging to the majority society also enroll their children there.

The president of the Rákóczi Association mentioned among the reasons for this that these schools are well equipped and provide good education in a family atmosphere.

At the same time, he indicated that by sending the 10,000 school bags, he would also like to thank the parents for their decision, for believing in the transmission and preservation of the Hungarian language and culture. According to his information, the association will start procuring school bags in the fall, they will arrive in March, from where they will deliver the bags to hundreds of Hungarian schools abroad "with considerable logistical effort".

Csongor Csáky also reported on the program that the association encourages its organizations to be part of Pope Francis' visit to Budapest at the end of April. According to his forecast, organized by the Rákóczi Association, about two thousand young people will participate in the Mass of the Catholic Archbishop Kossuth Square.
