The Romanian news agency Agerpres reports that the president of the Romanian AUR party, George Simion, called the RMDSZ an "ethnic terrorist" at his press conference, which, according to him, opposes initiatives aimed at making local administration more efficient and seeks to create an autonomous region in the middle of the country.
"We clearly state that we are against the regionalization of Romania, but a more efficient public administration is needed. Even in their wildest dreams, RMDSZ never thought that they would have their own region within Romania!" he said.
The president of the opposition group added that not only the AUR, but also the representatives of the economic sphere are demanding the merger of the settlements, but the current coalition is not able to carry this out. "Then we will do it, we have included the measure in our government program," stressed Simion.
