Hope is no longer free. According to the mayor of Budapest, only the eligible liberal farewell card for hope, who pays. It's so beautiful, isn't it? It's pure deuce.
Karácsony writes this on his Facebook page:
"We are faced with more and more forces that amplify division and fear, deliberately cause confusion and act increasingly against European unity and solidarity. Can we allow them to continue without countering these developments? Our fate is still in our hands now, but will it be the same tomorrow?"
Together with leading European intellectuals and politicians, Benedek Jávor and I are also signatories of the appeal initiated by young Europeans on the occasion of Europe Day.
Then, in the first comment, he supplements his noble call with the following - almost incidental - information:
