On the occasion of the International World Museum Day, Volkswagen Hungary is giving a thousand university students the opportunity to see the Csontváry 170 exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts for free, announced Porsche Hungária.
According to the announcement, students of the universities participating in the program with active student status can register between May 18 and 31, after which they have the opportunity for one-time free entry to the Csontváry 170 exhibition with tickets provided by the company from June 1 to July 2.
Among the higher education institutions participating in the program are Eötvös Loránd University, Óbuda University, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Tan Kapuja Buddhist College, Eötvös József College, Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Budapest University of Economics, Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences University and Széchenyi István University in Győr are listed, the announcement states.
The Museum of Fine Arts – Hungarian National Gallery and the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs are celebrating the 170th anniversary of the birth of the painter Kosztka Tivadar Csontváry (1853-1919) with the Csontváry 170 exhibition, featuring around 40 works.
Zoltán Papp, Volkswagen's brand director in Hungary, is quoted in the announcement as saying that the initiative was created in consultation with the Museum of Fine Arts in order to attract as many young people as possible to the museum. On the one hand, they want to show the students how rich the Hungarian fine arts heritage is, and on the other hand, they want to give them an experience.
