The President of the United States asked for a queen's blessing at the end of a speech, which was rather strange, not only because the crown prince he might have been referring to passed away last year, but also because the greeting formula itself is not really interpretable.
What exactly he meant, which queen he was referring to, and why Joe Biden threw in the traditional British greeting, no one could immediately say.
II. Queen Elizabeth, whom Biden also met, died in September 2022 and was succeeded by her son, Károly.
God save the queen, man! - said Biden at the end of his speech, and apparently he couldn't decide where to leave the stage, a man had to rush to his aid.
BIDEN: “God save the Queen!”
He's in Connecticut. And the Queen is dead…

Biden made the odd comment in Connecticut, where he was speaking at the National Safer Communities Summit on tightening gun laws.
Later, White House deputy press secretary Olivia Dalton cleared up the mystery somewhat, saying Biden "made a statement to someone in the crowd."
However, the Queen of Connecticut has not yet been identified.
