Participants run hundreds of kilometers to raise awareness of the importance of national unity and charity.
Egy Vérből Vagyunk Foundation starts on Friday , during which ten different institutions across the border are supported, from children's homes in Transylvania and Subcarpathia, to university students and a running team from Csikszereda.
In a tradition that has been going on for several years, Angéla Gui, the founder of the organization, buys sports shoes from the collected donations and gives them to young people in need, many of whom also participate in the run.
"This year I bought hundreds of sports shoes individually. Every time, I thought that only shoes would be added to the basket that I would buy for my own daughters."
- said Angéla Gui, who tries to make sure that the support is really always useful.
The aim of the event is not only the handing over of donations, but the organizers want to draw attention to the solidarity with Hungarians across the border and how good it is to help.
The We are made of blood starts on June 30 this year from Bonyhád, where the program starts on the day of the blood donation, and then the participants run to the finish line on Gyergyószárhegy. Here, a festival is organized for nearly 400 children with a difficult fate. Anita Herczegh, the wife of the former President of the Republic János Áder, will take part in the event again this year.
