Madonna was hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection, the start of her world tour will be postponed, Guy Oseary, the American singer's manager, announced on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
As he said, the 64-year-old singer was taken to the intensive care unit on Saturday, where she spent several days.
"Her health is improving, but she still needs medical treatment," Oseary said, adding that Madonna is expected to make a full recovery.
However, for the time being, all her performances have been suspended, which also affects the world tour of the seven-time Grammy award-winning singer, which would have started on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada and was scheduled to end in Amsterdam in December.
