The President of the Republic visited the Erzsébet camp in Zánkai on Wednesday, the head of state participated in several programs with the children.

On the shores of Lake Balaton, Katalin Novák got involved in the Christian, experiential pedagogy, cooperation and community-building program, as part of Heroes' Day, she tried out the firemen's smoke tent, which simulates the smoke of a house fire, and she sliced ​​and distributed melons to the camp children.

Many children asked the President of the Republic to sign T-shirts and baseball caps, and many also took a photo with the President.

Tibor Hornyák, the president of the Erzsébet Foundation, told the public media that the Erzsébet camps have been taking place for more than ten years, and like last year, more than 180,000 children will attend them by the end of the year.

There are 3,000 children camping in Zánká, 800 in Fonyódliget, and 150 in Transylvania, and there are Erzsébet camps all over the country, in which about 130,000 children will attend during the summer. Speaking about the visit of the head of state, he expressed his joy that Katalin Novák, who is also the main patron of the Erzsébet camps, visited Zánka, where the students of the church schools are on vacation during the week.

Katalin Novák participated in morning worship with the children early in the morning, and then had breakfast with them.

Tibor Hornyák also stated that the seven glazed melons distributed were an offering from the mayor of the Drávaivány settlement.

Reformed assistant pastor J. Viola Pálfalvi said that for the third time in the camps in Zánka and Fonyódliget, a separate work group is responsible for the implementation of Christian programs. Among the programs with a Christian theme, he listed the music pedagogy called inner harmonies, the drama pedagogy of invisible love and the Christian biblical experiential pedagogy called spiritual maps.

He said that the optional programs include, for example, the miracle pharmacy, during which children can talk about their mental problems and get help.

The aim of the programs is to "stop and rest, so that the children have the opportunity to recharge their batteries", emphasized J. Viola from Pálfalvi.
