The 18-year-old young man was preparing for an attack against a state office building.
The Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) arrested an 18-year-old man suspected of planning an explosive belt attack, the press department of the Polish public prosecutor's office announced on Friday. The public news radio Polskie Radio 24, referring to the official announcement, announced:
the man collected the information and materials needed to make an explosive belt; according to the evidence found during the house search, he was preparing to attack a state office building. The young man converted to Islam last year, and his activities were inspired by the example of the Islamic State and al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
The ABW also searched the homes of people related to the suspect who knew the plans for the assassination.
The suspect was already detained on June 16 in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in southwestern Poland.

At the initiative of the prosecution, the court approved the three-month arrest of a man suspected of participating in an organized criminal group preparing a terrorist act. A prison term of up to ten years can be imposed for the crime.
The investigation continues in the case.
