Next year, non-state social institutions can use HUF 4 billion 420 million for the developmental employment of residents, announced the State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior responsible for care policy at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
The tender in this regard was published on Wednesday, the maintainers of the institutions can submit their requests for funds electronically on the website of the Slachta Margit National Social Policy Institute
This amount exceeds by more than HUF 500 million the resources that were available this year to support developmental employment.
The money can be used by social institutions run by churches, municipalities or civil society for the developmental employment of residents with disabilities, psychiatric or addiction patients. This primarily means the production of handicraft products.
With the help of the support, the 160 service providers employ 3,300 people at 295 sites.
Attila Fülöp also drew attention to the fact that in the last decade, the number of employed people in Hungary increased by one million to 4.7 million, which means that the level of employment increased by 27 percent in 10 years. During this period, the number of employed people increased the most - by 150 percent - among disabled people.
