The 32nd Palóc Days and Fülek City Days will be organized in the highland town, and the town's awards will also be presented at the event - the director of the Municipal Cultural Center issued information.

Éva Tóth said: the 27th Nógrád International Folklore Festival, which will take place in Fülek Castle on July 28, is also part of the Palóc Days this year.

In addition to bands from Spain and Turkey, the Gypsy Orchestra of Gömör and the Temperament Cimbal Orchestra will also perform. In the afternoon, a competition of hot pot dishes awaits those interested, and in the evening a folk pub with the Dobroda band.

On August 11, at 4:00 p.m., the jubilee exhibition of Alfréd Balázs will open in the Municipal Museum of Local Lore, and after the official opening of the 32nd Palóc Days and Fülek City Days, the city's awards will be presented at the town hall.

In the evening, in the courtyard of the castle, the songs of the band Elán will be performed by the band Elán forever, and then one of the most successful Slovak singers, Adam Durica, will give a concert.

On Saturday, in addition to the performance of the Paramisi Társulat, children can also enjoy a Pánko concert and music workshop, followed by a performance by the Aranyszamár Puppet Theater.

In the castle courtyard, there will be crafts, folk games, a hand-powered carousel, and archery. A traditional fair awaits those interested in Várfelső utca.

In the afternoon, wine lovers will be treated to an open cellar day on Sávolyi út, and then at 5:00 p.m. the new gate to the city park will be handed over. Swing sounds on stage in the performance of the band Swing a la Django.

On Saturday evening, the Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra will give a concert in the castle courtyard, and then Charlie and the Charlie Band will take the stage.

The celebratory mass and the procession are held on Sunday. In the early evening, theater lovers can watch the musical comedy Meseautó performed by the Magyarock Dalszínház in the castle courtyard.

Palóc Days and Fülek City Days are organized by the Fülek City Cultural Center, Fülek City and their partners with the contribution of the Thorma company and the support of the Minority Cultural Fund.
