Germans of good age choose our country to avoid immigrants and because of the more livable conditions.
According to German sources, Balaton and its surroundings are the "new paradise of right-wing retirees", a Spanish portal reports, which also highlighted that the number of German retirees moving to Hungary has increased by 25 percent.
From the point of view of the Spanish newspaper, this is also interesting news, because while Germans used to prefer to move to the Costa Brava in their old age, now they prefer Lake Balaton instead.
The majority of the interviewed pensioners justified their decision by saying that they can comfortably live off their German pension in Hungary, but avoiding the flood of migrants present in Germany was also an important aspect, as well as the fact that the elderly receive more humane treatment in Hungarian retirement homes.
