The National Association of Large Families (NOE) and Auchan have started a joint campaign to collect school supplies in the forecourts of department stores, the initiative will last until August 27, the organizers announced.

For more than two weeks, it is possible to drop off the extra school supplies purchased at the collection points, which NOE delivers to families with several children who have more trouble starting school

they wrote.

All department stores participate in the now traditional Auchan charity campaign, and they are waiting for the offered school supplies everywhere, they added.

For the sixth time this year, Auchan is organizing a collection of school supplies for large families.

Last year, with the help of NOE, they were able to deliver 9,600 packages to parents who would have had serious financial problems in purchasing school equipment.

Thanks to Auchan's customers and their social sensitivity, children in 2,750 large families were able to start the school year last year without having to start at a disadvantage because they lacked some school supplies.

Even now, the supermarket chain asks its customers to

if they can, buy one or two more school supplies and drop them off at the collection points at the exit.

Even though the majority of Auchan's uniquely rich range of school supplies is no more expensive than last year, and 400 products have even become cheaper, the start of the school year still puts a strain on the family coffers, especially where there are several school-age children.

They mostly expect pens, pencils, colored pencils, felt-tip pens, rulers, compasses, erasers, pen holders, brushes, paints, plasticine, gym bags, drawing and writing sheets, and notebooks.

From the collected school supplies, NOE volunteers assemble packages and take them to families in need at the start of the school year.

"We are confident that our rich selection gives you the opportunity to make a conscious choice, and within that also to show solidarity with others and help," said Ildikó Varga-Futó, Auchan's CSR director, according to the announcement.

"I am very grateful to the donors, as it is thanks to them that we can now collect school supplies for the sixth time in the Auchan department stores," emphasized Katalin Kardosné Gyurkó, president of NOE.
