The carelessly placed screws can be removed with your free hand from Romania's most expensive structure to date, the Danube Bridge in Brăila, which was handed over at the beginning of July. The artefact was built largely with European Union support and is the third longest suspension bridge in the EU. The national company responsible for road infrastructure (CNAIR) blames the negligence of the builders, emphasizing that there is no danger of the bridge collapsing.
maszol.ro reported on the Digi24 news channel .
The spokesperson of the Romanian road infrastructure management company, CNAIR, spoke about the negligence of the construction contractors, but emphasized that there is no danger of the bridge, which was completed at the beginning of July, collapsing.
CNAIR blames the construction companies and threatens not to pay for the work.
Alin Serbanescu, the spokesperson of CNAIR, also spoke about human negligence, according to whom each screw should have been carefully tightened one by one.
He pointed out that the contractor worked with several teams, however
they did not coordinate the work, so some of the screws were not tightened.
However, the infrastructure development company will ensure that this is done afterwards.
Ruts have already formed on Romania's longest, 1,120-meter span, built with EU and government funds, and the extremely expensive Danube Bridge, for which the transport minister blames the truckers.
At the same time, Sorin Grindeanu promised to fix the bumps, which drivers have been constantly complaining about lately.
On the suspension bridge over the Danube, the problems appeared barely a month after the handover. Next to Brăila, the new Danube bridge, completed in five years, was inaugurated in July. With its length of almost two kilometers and span of 1,120 meters, it is the third longest suspension bridge in the European Union.
