The Magyarázat mindnerre won the best film award in the Orizzonti (Horizons) section in Venice. Director Gábor Reisz accepted the award at the closing ceremony of the festival at the Lido.
At the end of his speech, Gábor Reisz thanked his crew in one sentence in Hungarian for their work and reminded that the Hungarian audience can see the film in cinemas from October 5, 2023.
The Explanation for Everything Screen Daily as "masterful, refined and surprisingly impartial" and by Cineuropa as "brilliant, fascinating and intelligent".
The film was shown to a full house on Thursday at CineFest in Miskolc, after the screening Gábor Reisz said that he "recommends this cinema to every Hungarian". Before the Hungarian premiere, on September 22, pre-premier screenings and audience meetings in Hungary will begin, Cirko Film wrote in its announcement.
