The father protected his son from the destructive flames with his own body. The family of four did not go to the flight day in Börgönd, it was only due to an unfortunate coincidence that they stopped to watch the demonstration of the plane that later crashed next to them - the children saw the plane and asked to watch the demonstration.
In last weekend's accident, the plane of two experienced pilots, Vilmos Rózsavölgyi and his son Árpád, crashed at Börgönd airport. They crashed into the ground next to the car of a family of four from Karád, the exploding fuel turned the field and the car parked on it into a huge ball of fire.
The fire engulfed the car in an instant, in which the mother, Andrea, and her little daughter were. The mother, the little girl and the father also suffered serious burns. The condition of the 8-year-old girl had already improved and became stable by Friday, the father recovered on Thursday.

Iván protected his little son's life with his own body, the little one survived the tragedy unscathed thanks to the heroic presence of mind of his father.
The family did not come to the air parade, but were on their way home to Karád from the countryside, when the children noticed the plane in the air. The parents stopped at the edge of the field to cheer them on, and that's why it happened that they weren't standing in the safety zone reserved for spectators.
