The designated bike lane on Hunyadi Street is causing more and more problems for the people of Kispesti, which only took parking spaces away from cars, but according to the local residents, this causes a lot of problems. Protests, petitions and dissatisfied residents - Magyar Nemzet wrote.
Although the bicycle lane on the otherwise single-lane road would in principle not increase traffic jams - since those who ride bicycles instead of cars reduce car traffic - the situation with parking is more problematic. According to Magyar Nemzet's video, moreover, the people who took to the streets against the bike lane don't go there very much by bike. According to the locals, the bike path should be placed in the Garden City part, Hunyadi Street is not suitable for this.
