Terrorist threats and demonstrations in favor of terror prove that Brussels' migration policy is very flawed.

The European Commission must investigate whether all of the terrorist acts of the Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas could have been financed, even indirectly, from the EU resources provided to the Palestinian people, stated Gál Kinga, a member of the European Parliament of Fidesz.

The representative expressed his agreement with Olivér Várhelyi, the EU commissioner responsible for enlargement and neighborhood policy, "who days earlier called for the suspension of EU aid to the Palestinians and a full review".

The Fidesz politician stated: Israel has the right to self-defense in this terrorist situation. "We sympathize with the relatives of the victims, the wounded and raise our voices for the release of the hostages!" he added.

He drew attention to the fact that it is necessary to prevent an interstate war from breaking out in the region, as it would start a new wave of migration, which would facilitate the entry of Islamist terrorists into Europe.

In his opinion, the threat of terrorism, the demonstrations in favor of terror and the deadly terrorist attacks on the streets of Western Europe today prove that Brussels' migration policy is very flawed.

"Negotiations on the failed migration pact must be suspended immediately, and it must finally be said: Europe's external borders must be protected, illegal migrants cannot enter the external borders. Because of this, acts of terrorism cannot occur in Europe," emphasized Kinga Gál.

After the speech of the Fidesz representative, Charlie Weimers from Sweden and right-wing Spanish EP representative Hermann Tertsch also gave a press statement to the Hungarian public media. They emphasized: they condemn the Hamas terrorist attack against Israel in the strongest possible terms.

According to Weimers, "it is incomprehensible that the left-wing groups in the European Parliament still do not clearly condemn Hamas' attacks against Israel and the Jewish people."

The Swedish politician said: he calls on the European Commission to ensure that EU funds do not directly or indirectly finance anti-Semitic content, and to suspend financial support to the Palestinians until it becomes clear: these funds are not used in any form for terrorism financing.

As an example, he mentioned Palestinian textbooks with anti-Semitic content and glorifying terrorism, and emphasized that he fully supports EU Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi's "proposal to review the EU subsidies paid to the Palestinians until the rules of full transparency and accountability are enforced."

He pointed out that a few years ago, Palestinian civil society organizations refused to sign an EU declaration in which they were supposed to guarantee that no EU money would go to terrorist organizations.

"In the end, the EU didn't even push for this, but now there are reports that Hamas dug up EU-funded water pipelines in Gaza and used them to manufacture rockets to shoot Israelis indiscriminately," he pointed out.

In his statement, Hermann Tertsch drew attention to the importance of protecting the external borders.

"Without strong border protection, crowds are pouring into Europe and European authorities are failing to respond to the warning signs that are already on the streets of Europe."

Tertsch fully supports Olivér Várhelyi's "proposal regarding the suspension of EU aid to the Palestinian Authority until it is known exactly where these funds are going".
