The Christmas Wish List program has begun, with which the Christmas wishes of needy children come true with the help of donors, the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service (MRSZ).

According to the announcement of the aid organization, in the program announced for the fifth time, donors can make the wishes of 1,358 children come true by purchasing the desired gift, which the parents can give to their child at Christmas.

The essence of the Wish List program is that donors can get to know the specific Christmas dream of the supported children,

which was collected secretly by the foundation's staff, during playful sessions or involving the parents.

Donors can fulfill the requests published on the program's page in two ways: either they buy the gift and deliver it to the MRSZ office, or they transfer the price of the toy to the charity organization, and the staff of the foundation purchase the Christmas gifts from the amount received, the announcement reads.

The list can be found on the lovebox.jobbadni.hu , requests can be made until November 20.

I touched on

this year's wishes include children's books, sports equipment, small cars and babies, but visitors to the site may also encounter heartbreaking requests:

several children asked for warm boots, winter coats or basic toiletries that their parents could not buy for them.

In recent years, the MRSZ has made the dreams of almost 7,000 children come true with the help of donors within the framework of the program, they wrote.

In parallel with the Wish List, the MRSZ also launched two other fundraisers before the Advent period: in the Szeretdoboz collection program, durable food items are collected, and in the Nyilas Misi Pakk program, toys and books are collected in shoe boxes for children across the border. These will be delivered to the needy before Christmas, they wrote.
