The first center of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) in the highlands was opened in Dunaszerdahely, the center of Csallóköz, on Wednesday.

The network, which is considered the largest talent management institution in the Carpathian basin, has operated at 28 training locations so far, and the center in Dunaszerdahely, which was opened in a ceremonial setting, is expanding its list. This is the first location in the Highlands, but according to the organization's plans, their training offer will also appear in other locations in the Highlands this year.

Zoltán Szalai, the director general of the MCC, in his speech at the opening, quoting the words and thoughts of János Selye, pointed out that the management of their institution also believes that the pursuit of excellence is the basis of everything, but at the same time, they also believe that talent also obliges everyone to work for their community, their homeland, work responsibly for your nation.

He said: they want the newly opened center to become a kind of community space in Dunaszerdahely, but at the same time they want to address the entire Felvidék, so programs are also planned in Bratislava, Komárom, Érsekújvár, Párkány, Rimaszombat, Kassa and Királyhelmec.

Krisztián Pomichal, director of the MCC in the Highlands, said at the opening of the center: he is convinced that the appearance of the institution in the Highlands is of national strategic importance.

He explained: not only because in this way the institution's courses are now conveniently close to Hungarian students from the highlands, but also because the express goal of the institution opened in Dunaszerdahely is to benefit the entire nation by embracing talented students.

It is an opportunity for our homeland, but also for the whole of Central Europe, if talented Hungarian young people, armed with international experience, independent of ideologies, but thinking about values, take their part in building our common future, said Krisztián Pomichal.

The primary goal of MCC's center in Dunaszerdahely is talent management aimed at the most talented local and surrounding Hungarian youth. At the new location of the MCC, the Young Talent Program (FIT) and the Middle School Program (KP) for upper elementary school students are available, but in addition to talent management, the center also offers a number of public lectures with the participation of domestic and international professionals, MCC leaders announced at the opening.

According to information from the center in Dunaszerdahely, during their summer recruitments, they experienced greater interest in their training than expected.

The program available for elementary school students - which can start with 25 people - was oversubscribed three times, and the high school program - which has no such number limit - has had about a hundred applications so far.
