What do these protests have to do with the Gaza conflict? Slomó Köves, the leading rabbi of the EMIH, asked the question in Hír Tv's Napi current program.
"It is a frightening, disappointing and awakening phenomenon when hundreds of thousands shout on the streets of major Western cities that "death to the Jews!" is the country going in the right direction, did we do the right thing by allowing this to happen?
Have we done everything to explain to migrants and settlers what the history of Europe is, what Europe has learned in the last hundred or two thousand years?
What are the standards by which a German, English or French citizen could be expected to identify with?
Slomó Köves said in Hír Tv Napi's current program.
The head rabbi of the EMIH also drew attention to the fact that the flags of the Taliban and the Islamic State appear at these demonstrations, while the French flag is burned.
“What does this have to do with the Gaza conflict? Here we are talking about some kind of much rougher, civilizational conflict, in which Israel is on the front line, but in fact they don't have a problem with it, but with the entire Western Judeo-Christian civilization."
Slomó Köves thought.
