Maintaining the moral principle that all life is a loss, especially the innocent civilian victims of the armed conflicts raging around them, there is some dramatic order in the way the West reacts to the events in Israel these days.
Let's record it again and again: on October 7, fanatical and merciless militants attacked Israeli civilians, burned a baby, insulted an elderly person, took hostages, and proudly reported all this to their own family members and the whole world.
They then fled back to Gaza, where Hamas has been operating a ruthless state of terror for years. Since then, they have been "waiting" for really decisive and hard, and at the same time perfectly understandable counterattacks. Presumably under American pressure, they are more cautious than the first, legitimate indignation would have dictated.
But even then: the unprecedented and bestial terrorist attack on Israel has taken place, its scale and "quality" are completely unfathomable.
More precisely, it should be, but especially the developments and events of the past few days, as well as the media coverage that forgets the insult and sympathizes almost exclusively with the Palestinians, lead us to conclude:
the moral standard of the West was painfully tilted.
A crowd of 300,000 in London is an ominous sign: the people living there have chosen a side. In a country where the mayor of the capital and the prime minister are immigrants, and the former is even a Muslim, and the same is also true for "neighboring" Scotland, well, there, according to the signs, Jews cannot expect much good. Neither does a minister.
But this is also true for Belgium, France and Germany, which have held similar demonstrations. Of course, the police sometimes act against those who perpetrate terror, they even ban certain actions, the leaders of the states are cautious, but the media and the public mood are starting to point in the same direction:
"freedom for the Palestinians fighting with the tools of terror, down with Israel!"
For quite some time now, Europe has embarked on a path radically opposed to its self-identity and original values.
When Muhammad posts that London is with Gaza, it symbolically shows this grave crisis.
If Europe, which deals with the European distribution of people coming from regions burdened with anti-Semitism, tribal logic and a totally different culture, and is insensitive to the threat to Jews at the level of the public, does not come to its senses, does not retune its values and strategy, this story could have a catastrophic end!
There is, of course, a Hungarian position honored here with the withdrawal of resources and cursing, which can be a guide for the hesitating powers.
Let them choose!
