At the FICTS International Sports Film Festival in Milan, the documentary film about the current oldest living Olympic champion, 102-year-old Ágnes Keleti, won the Mention d'Honneur 2023 special prize of the jury.
According to the announcement of Makabor Studio Kft., the producer of the work entitled "Aki zaszte az time - Ágnes Keleti", 136 of the 1233 entries from 130 countries competed for the Guirlande d'Honneur 2023 and Mention d'Honneur 2023 awards for the festival recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
Among them, three Hungarian works were among the best: the film Katinka showing the life of Katinka Hosszú, the documentary Silver Team about the Hungarian soccer team that won the silver medal at the 1938 World Cup, and the one who beat time - Ágnes Keleti.
The film's director-editor Kata Oláh and cinematographer Sándor Csukás received the award at Saturday's award ceremony.
The Hungarian-Israeli co-production produced by Makabor and Belfilms, supported by the National Film Institute and Izraeli Kan Tv, premiered last September at the Cinefest Festival in Miskolc, where it won the Fipresci award from international critics.
Since then, it has been screened at many festivals and in domestic cinemas. In the sports and history category, he received special international recognition and the jury's special prize at the AIPS Sport Media Awards, the international competition of the International Association of Sports Journalists.
