According to Die Presse, the visit of the President of the European Council to Carmelita was unsuccessful.
The Austrian newspaper also reported that during the two-hour, called "deserved" meeting between Viktor Orbán and Charles Michel in Budapest, the Hungarian side got into an argument in the Carmelite monastery.
They added that due to the sensitive nature of the topics, the President of the European Council refrained from holding a press conference after the meeting.
According to Die Presse, the press service of the Hungarian Prime Minister "swept the meeting under the carpet."
At the same time, the president of the European Council stated that he hopes Hungary will give up its veto against Ukraine, the paper added.
The Press Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister told MTI that Monday's meeting took place in the framework of the preparations for the EU summit in December.
Minister responsible for European Union Affairs János Bóka also participated in the hearing.
Viktor Orbán dedicated a single short Facebook post to Michel's visit, which he called a "useful consultation".
Gergely Gulyás, the minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office, also commented on the Orbán-Michel meeting:
