To give something to someone who has always given to others throughout his career. For whom the audience never meant the applauding crowd, but with her performance she created such a personal environment in which everyone, individually and together, can feel that she sings, sings the poem, the prose, the dance is for her personally - Zoltán Balog praised the actress in his greeting .

The board of trustees of the Association for Civil Hungary Foundation awarded the 2023 Civil Hungary Award to Ildiko Hűvösvölgyi for her artistic and intellectual activity promoting the growth of Hungarian culture, her outstanding work in the field of music and art dissemination, and recognition of her outstanding career as a performing artist.

Katalin Schmittné Makray and Ádám Kavecsánszki, the president of the Foundation for Civil Hungary, presented the recognition. The amount of the financial allowance accompanying the award is HUF five million net. Reformed bishop Zoltán Balog, chairman of the synod of the Hungarian Reformed Church, greeted the Kossuth award-winning actress.

Talking about Ildiko Hűvösvölgyi is a pleasure and a grateful task

Zoltán Balog began his speech.

To give something to someone who has always given to others throughout his career. For whom the audience never meant the applauding crowd, but with his performance he created such a personal environment in which everyone, individually and together, can feel that he is personally singing to him, saying the poem, the prose, the dance is for him. The memorial evenings made from the poems of Sándor Reményik, the great Transylvanian poet, mean the most to me. Pain and hope are the guarantee of survival. The interpretation of Ildikó Hűvösvölgyi comes through with such convincing force and soul that one cannot escape its influence. He was a lost Hungarian, a believing Christian struggling with doubts and a proud resister at the same time.

A quiet miracle takes place inside and outside. Souls are connected, and we believe in Sándor Reményik, Ildiko Hűvösvölgyi and the creator and liberating God himself that it is worthwhile and necessary to pray, work, remain, grow and rejoice.

Ildikó Hűvösvölgyi is also a versatile actress and teacher: she carries on her mother's profession. The teacher also gives what he received. First, talent, talent, and then the strength and will needed to develop the talent are passed on to the next generation.

Beyond artistic ambitions and teaching, there is something else that makes Ildiko Hűvösvölgyi particularly valuable to us.

He is the one who creates a community on stage, from the audience in the auditorium. It is everywhere where you have to stand up for civil, Christian and national values. Where we have to show ourselves and each other that we are many even if a loud minority suppresses our voice

he said.

As she said, as a wife, a mother of a family, and a middle-class woman, she creates relationships in which the togetherness has a deeper and higher origin than an ordinary meeting. Deeper, because our belonging is born in our souls, it means a common culture and our Hungarianness. - I do not include the Christian faith here only because it is both a deeper and higher dimension, a divine gift from above. While the one who is the source of faith is a thousand times above us, he walks before us and holds in his hands the depths that would not be alive without him, said the bishop.

Ildikó Hűvösvölgyi experienced the sustaining and enriching power of this faith with András Kisfaludy and their two beautiful daughters after five decades of marriage.

I wish that we will enjoy the voice and playing of Ildikó Hűvösvölgyi for a long time to come.

After accepting the award, the actress thanked Sándor Reményik for the recognition and then said: I did nothing but do my job.

I became an actress, acted, sang, danced, sang, taught, for myself and I hope for your sake, for the joy of others.

That this work was nominated for the award, that the esteemed board of trustees chose me, out of many great people and communities, is a miracle in itself. This is a special award, unlike anything else. Actor has never received it. I also thank you on behalf of my colleagues, it's a big deal, said the actress.

He added that miracles happened to him this year: maybe it's due to the seventy years. In the summer, he was elected an honorary citizen in his native village of Őrbottán, and in August, at the company meeting of the Turay Ida Theater, he was elected a permanent member of the theater. In September, he received the Tolnay Klári Memorial Medal.

The actress emphasized that she thanks not only those who are here and with her, but also those who can no longer be here: her parents, who helped her a lot in her life and career. It's a shame that they couldn't experience their daughter's success,

but maybe they see it up there too, and maybe they lobbied for me

- said the artist.

She added that her husband András Kisfaludy, a documentary film director, has been her companion for fifty years, without whom she would not have been able to complete this wonderful career. He values the prize as the prize of the couple Hűvösvölgyi-Kisfaludy.
