The foreign minister expressed his opinion on Bulgaria's unfriendly move in a Facebook video.
Péter Szijjártó called the Bulgarian move "scandalous and hostile" because it threatens the transit of natural gas intended for North Macedonia, Serbia and Hungary.
As a result of the current geopolitical and security conditions, the majority of the gas required for the natural gas supply of Hungary arrives via this pipeline, and the Bulgarian decision, which is "completely contrary to European legislation," "brought with it the danger that natural gas deliveries to Hungary, among others, will stop," the minister pointed out. .
Péter Szijjártó indicated that a decision on Bulgaria's Schengen membership will be made next week,
"that's why they suddenly started trying hard to abolish this law".
"If it is deleted, we will also withdraw our decision on the veto," said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
