The work started in November and eight artists painted Erik Fux's graphic design on the tower block in practically one month. It is a 64 meter high building. IKV cleared an area of 600 square meters so that the creation could be realized. This mural was made from 165 liters of paint, mixing 25 colors. Together with Katalin Karikó, the mayor chose the portrait that is now on the wall of the house

said the representative.

It's a little easier to work in the sun. The painting was placed on a north-facing wall, so the sun did not shine much during the works. Kudos to Erik Fux and all my colleagues for completing the mural so quickly. At the beginning, it seemed that we might be able to finish a little later than we originally thought. Fortunately, it didn't happen that way. We are very grateful to the municipality for the support, we are very proud of this work

- stated Péter Flór, secretary general of the Colorful City Group, who also revealed that this was not the first such large-scale work of the group.

The artists had already painted a mural of a similar height, but it was narrower. A Katalin Karikó mural will also be created in the 7th district of downtown Budapest, on which the honorary citizen of Szeged will be seen with the physicist Ferenc Krausz.
