This year, Andrea Waskovics won the Éva Ruttkai memorial ring for her performances in The Glass Shoe and Pinocchio based on a secret vote by the Vígszínház company, the theater announced.
As recalled, the Éva Ruttkai memorial ring was founded in 1986 by the daughter of the actress, Júlia Gábor, in memory of her mother, the Kossuth Prize-winning actress and legendary artist of the Vígszínház. Any artist of the theater can receive the award, even several times, for outstanding artistic performance during the given calendar year.
This year, the actors of Vígszínház recognized Andrea Waskovics' performances in The Glass Shoe and Pinocchio with a commemorative ring.
The award was presented by Júlia Gábor and her husband, theater historian Gábor Szigethy, on December 28 on the stage of the Vígszínház after the performance entitled Cabaret, they wrote in the announcement.

"In his sensitive playing, fragile purity, charm and honesty are mixed with determination and lean hardness. She is one of the leading actresses of the Vígszínház, and can be seen in several performances. In The Great Gatsby, she portrays the contradictory figure of Daisy Buchanan with special finesse, and as the female protagonist of The Emperor of the West, she shows with a sensitive balance the desires and vulnerability of a fragile girl hiding behind a thin hardness. In Apa, alongside András Kern, he portrays Laura, the nurse, with impressive simplicity, but he also gives a memorable performance in The Dictator, The Horse Riding Knights and The Bear Mothers. As Irma in The Glass Slipper, presented in the fall of 2023, she captivates the audience, from a naive child to a bright woman to a passionate lover who emerges from herself.
- the awardee was praised in the announcement.
