On New Year's Eve, the statue of Mary, the Queen of Peace, in Dunavec was vandalized again. The vandals smashed the head of the statue and trampled it, so the consecration planned for the first of January was canceled.

The dedication of the statue in Dunavecs, which was announced for January 1, will not take place!
And the reason is that on December 31, at 3:35 a.m., an unknown perpetrator smashed the head of the statue of Mary with a premeditated intention and trampled on its pieces.
It's hard to find words, our hearts are breaking and we don't understand why this all happened.
Tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. there will be a candle lighting at the roundabout and at 3:30 p.m. a Holy Mass, which I will present to the community.
Let's pray for peace, for the healing of sick souls/minds, for the victory of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!"
