Háttér Társaság reported on its Facebook page that Erste Bank introduced an innovation especially for our transgender fellow citizens: the transbank card, Mandiner .
Amin - although that is not the individual's name -
any name can be included, thereby "solving" the big "problem" that until now our fellow trans people had to "suffer" from seeing their own names on their bank cards.
In other words, if someone was called Béla before becoming transgender, and Margit after becoming transgender, they can now go to Erste Bank and ask for a card in the name Margit.
The post no longer provides an answer to the question of what happens when the person's personal information is also requested during payment.
The Háttér Társaság reacted with bursting enthusiasm
"In Hungary, the complete abolition of legal transition forces our transgender colleagues, who were unable to legally change their gender and name before the law came into force, into an increasingly difficult situation: they are exposed to discrimination and danger by being forced to come forward every time they have to show their identity cards, which a gender or name different from their identity is listed," they wrote.
"We are pleased to inform you that starting this month, all Erste bank branches in the country can apply for a bank card with the
the customer can indicate the name of his choice, if it is included in the list of names that can be registered.
This new service can also help our transgender colleagues in managing their everyday finances!"
