This is already the fourth ice splash, which the ambassador of Lake Tisza, Ljasuk Dimitry, called for life and organizes every year.
The first ice bath was organized in 2021 by Lake Tisza's eco-warrior, Dimitry Ljasuk, who gained fame in recent years with his films about the lake and Hortobágy. His pictures, films and thoughts have been noticed by many people, from National Geographic to Kossuth Radio to RTL Klub.

At the first splash, only 10 people took a dip, but today hundreds come to the event.
This year, Tiszafüred Open Water Beach Ljasuk Dimitry was full again at the New Year's splash.
Before bathing, Chaplain Sándor Czókoly blessed Lake Tisza on Epiphany Day, and after a short accident prevention education and group warm-up, the water adventure could begin.
