The demonstration in the Polish capital, which Mateusz Morawiecki, the recently resigned Polish Prime Minister, announced in front of the Sejm, began on Thursday at four in the afternoon.
In his appeal, the PiS politician said: "We cannot allow the violation of democratic rules to become the new norm."
According to the videos posted on social media, many people showed up at the announced demonstration already at the beginning of the movement.
Morawiecki also shared one of the videos, with the comment: "You guys are fantastic! We are free here!”

According to the first recordings, a crowd of several thousand marched to the Sejm to protest against the political showdown of the left-liberal government led by Donald Tusk.
The prime minister who came to power recently targeted the transformation of public television and public radio, then on Tuesday evening former interior minister Mariusz Kaminski and former deputy interior minister Maciej Wasik were arrested in the presidential palace.

PiS emphasized in several announcements: they are the first political prisoners in Poland since 1989.
Both of them are representatives of the former ruling party who were sentenced to prison, but were also granted a presidential pardon.
